Assignment
For this assignment I want to photograph llamas because I've always loved the fir texture of my friends llamas necks. I think the the somewhat dreaded and long fur will make for some amazing black and white photos which will be extremely interesting and different. I want to challenge myself to make these photos more vertical as well so that my portfolio can have more variety and look more professional. Another aspect of the llama I want to use in my photo is their dark eyes which I will try to make completely dark.
My Shoot
This shoot was allot harder to do then I had originally thought it would be since this particular llama does not like people so I had to slowly approach him and hope that he wouldn't get up and run away. But even though I had to be very carful while shooting I think this shoot turned out really good and I can tell that I'll be able to reach all my goals once I edit them. Another thing I am happy about is that not all of these photos are from the side so I will be able to add more variety.
Edited Photos
I really love all the photos and I love how all of them turned out, they defiantly hit all my goals and I'm very excited to hold them in my hands. Hands down favorite part is how his fur sticks out a little and it looks somewhat staticky. I think that I've gotten allot better at editing in black and white which is why I chose to do them all in black and white which I'm happy about. Overall I'm so proud of these and of my progress.
Printed Photo
For other assignments its been hard for me to choose which photo to print but I love this photo so much that it was an easy decision. I love the fur texture so much and how the contrast puts the shadows deeper and darker if that makes sense. I also love they eye because its so perfectly black that it almost makes this photo creepy. I also love the background is really nice because I like how it's black and changes into a lighter splotchy grey.
