I have been friends with Nissa since I was a baby, I grew up for almost half my life just down the road from her so I have spent countless hours at this house and it holds an extremely special place in my heart. I do love it there and I want to capture in this shoot all the little things that make it so special and all the little things that I have loved since I was little. The bus which is parked behind their house is what I'm the most excited about and I hope I will be able to get some amazing shots of it.
The Shoot
I do really like this shoot and I really enjoyed doing it. I was alone at her house at the time so I really got to wonder around and shoot what I felt like and I think that freedom helped me come up with some nice photos. As I suspected I really like 2 of the photos I took of the bus and I am the most excited about editing those ones. Overall proud of this shoot and defiantly feeling happy about how it turned out. There are a few photos in here that I'm going to edit outside of this portfolio since I think they look good in color which is always a good sign in my opinion when there's photos in a shoot that are good in different ways.
Edited Photos
I do like this shoot a lot, I think the second 2 are very nice because of texture and I like the first one a lot because I enjoy shooting into the sunlight so you can see the rays and sometimes a flare type thing. But looking at it now I do think I should have turned the contrast up some more because it looks kind of flat. I plan on fixing that at a later time when I have more time to spend perfecting that photo because I do think it could be a strong one. It reminds me of a photo of a tree I took in Vermont.
Final
I think this photo is very good and will be a good addition to this portfolio. I like how the contrast is petty high and the green license plate looks black. I don't know why but I just find that very interesting. I also like the peeling edges of the registration sticker and think that gives the photo and nice texture which makes it more interesting for the viewer. This isn't my favorite photo of the year but I defiantly do like it.
