The first location I am shooting is going to be my farm in Lewis, Colorado which is close to Cortez. The house was built in the 1870's so it has a lot of interesting features and textures I am excited to capture and edit. I'm the most interested in wood and wallpaper I think for this shoot because the walls of this house are so interesting and unique. Definitely have gone trough a lot of ware and tear which is why they're all peeling and discolored.
My Shoot
I liked this shoot a lot and I actually really like the concept I came up with where I will take photos according to location instead of subject since it gives me more freedom I feel like. Especially at this location since my farm was built so long ago so theres a bunch of old wood and peeling wall paper and pain that I definitely enjoyed and will make for some pretty cool photos once I edit them. They might not all be great but There are quite a few I am excited about.
Edited Photos
I like the 3 photos that I edited, my favorite obviously being the one of the fan that is what I am using as my final. I like the flies too but more of the idea of them not as much how the photo came out. I think I am going to try to take a photos of flies like this in a better way in one of the other locations I choose because I do think that would be cool and work well with my portfolio plan.
Final
This one is simple but I really like it, I like how its blurry except for the hair and dust which is what I was really going for. It's also really unique in a way, not something many people would think of photographing but it definitely turned out in a way I really enjoy. I think it will look nice with other photos at the end of the semester and I'm excited to get it printed out so I can see it in person if that makes sense.
